Sharif brothers Disqualified by Supreme Court
Posted on Feb 25, 2009 under Politics | 5 CommentsPML(N) head Nawaz Sharif and his brother the Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif have been disqualified from contesting elections by the Supreme Court today. This also resulted in stepping down of Shahbaz Sharif from the position of CM Punjab. Shortly after disqualification of Sharif Brothers from contesting elections Governor Rule has been imposed in Punjab for next two months. Governor Punjab Mr. Salman Taseer would be managing the Punjab Government.
Irrespective of the consequences of today’s decision of the SC, at the moment it seems to be a big speed breaker for the current progressing democratic environment in the country.

Yes, but the resistance and protest should be non violent. We should not burn the properties of the common people or any national resources, as this would be an attempt to destroy our own home land. So we should behave like true Pakistanis.

Agreed that Shahbaz Sharif has done alot of good work for Pakistani people and particularly for Punjab being Chief Minister of Punjab. He brought discipline in police station, hospitals and schools etc.
