The controversial ordinance of establishment of Mobile Courts in Pakistan, which was issued under the article 89 of the constitution,  has been withdrawn by the President Asif Ali Zardari on advise of Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani just one day after its promulgation.
Earlier this ordinance was heavily opposed by lawyers community, PML(N) and other opposition parties which considered it as an attempt to stop the country-wide Long March on 14th of March 2009.
