From A Man To An Ideology

Cheif Justice Of Pakistan

Cheif Justice Of Pakistan

Iftekhar Chowdhury is not just the name of a person, today Iftekhar Chowdhury is an ideology, a symbol and the name of an opportunity, an opportunity for the revival of Justice and Rule of Law in Pakistan for which we have been waiting for ages. A symbol of saying “NO” to  a dictator, he is the symbol of saying “NO” to this entire system to suck blood from veins of an ordinary man. As Chief Justice Of Pakistan he tried to fight for the rights of common people of Pakistan. He stopped the Government from selling Pakistan Steel Mills on a very cheap price, he took actions for the revival of innocent people missing people, it was he who tried to put an end on the cruel police culture in Pakistan and unlawful use of power.

Iftekhar Chowdhury got an opportunity to change the system and he grabbed it and now he is on a path that leads nowhere but to the complete revival of Justice and Rule of Law in Pakistan and once rule of law is there we will see other problems would solve one by one. Iftekhar Chowdhury said “NO” and gave us an opportunity that can bring change our country and our way of life for ever.

Muslims are celebrating the birth of the Greatest Man in the whole universal. One and Only Prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam PBUH). The Prophet of not only Muslims but the whole universe. As the Lord of the worlds called him the Mercy for all the worlds. His message is the message of Peace for the each and every living being. He is  surely the Greatest person ever.

Although a lot has been written about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s (would

The-100

never be enough), I would like to mention a book titled “The 100,” or the Top One hundred, or the Greatest Hundred in History by Michael H. Hart, described as a historian, mathematician and astronomer. He has searched history, seeking for men who had the greatest influence on mankind. He does not give us a mere chart of the topmost “one hundred” from the point of view of their influence on people, but he evaluates the degree of their influence and rates them in order of their excellence from No. 1, through to No. 100.  He gives us his reasons for the placing of his candidates.  We are not asked to agree with him, but we cannot help admire the man’s research and honesty.   The most amazing thing about his selection is that he has put our Nabee-e-Kareem, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as No. 1.
Let us hear his arguments –

MUHAMMAD, HOWEVER, WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR BOTH THE THEOLOGY OF ISLAM AND ITS MAIN ETHICAL AND MORAL PRINCIPLES. IN ADDITION, HE PLAYED THE KEY ROLE IN PROSELYTIZING THE NEW FAITH, AND IN ESTABLISHING THE RELIGIOUS PRACTICES OF ISLAM.

Michael H. Hart in his book -”THE 100″-pages 38/39

Following is a Naat (Song in Prophet’s Praise) by Sami Yusuf.

Mohammad (PBUH) The Teacher (Al-Muallim)

We once had a Teacher
The Teacher of teachers,
He changed the world for the better
And made us better creatures,
Oh Allah we’ve shamed ourselves
We’ve strayed from Al-Mu’allim,
Surely we’ve wronged ourselves
What will we say in front him?
Oh Mu’allim…

World’s Nicest Man – Abdul Sattar Edhi

Abdul Sattar Edhi

Abdul Sattar Edhi

Every society is destined to face the problems of looking after the welfare of the sick, the weak, the destitute and the needy. All societies are alike in this respect. One way of assessing the status of a society on the road to civilization is the value accorded to an individual and his basic human needs. these have not always received the attention they desetve in the planning of economics, particularly in developing countries. Most of the available resources are consumed by defense needs and pressing demands for technological progress.

Programs for developement in the social sector stay a long way behind mainly because of financial constraints. Speical efforts are, therefore, needed to mobilize community resources to initiate and develop programs for the welfare of the weak and the disadvantaged members of the society.

Sometimes it happens that a fortunate combination of the national situation and personal characteristics produce an individual with a capacity to understand the challenge and develop appropriate responses to this challenge. Such an individual in the case of Pakistan is Abdul Sattar Edhi, the founder of Edhi Foundation

Abdul Sattar Edhi was born in 1928 in a small village of Bantva near Joonah Garh, Gujrat (India). The seeds of compassion for the suffering humanity were sown in his soul by his mother’s infirmity. When Edhi was at the tender age of eleven, his mother became paralyzed and later got metally ill. Young Abdul Sattar devoted himself for looking after all her needs; cleaning, bathing, changing clothes and feeding. This proved to be a loosing battle against the disease, and her helplessness increased over the years. Her persistent woeful condition left a lasting impression on young Edhi. The course of his life took a different turn from other persons of his age. His studies were also seriously affected and he could not complete his high school level. For him the world of suffering became his tutor and source of wisdom.
