A very bright and shining name in the sky of folk music of Pakistan is the name of Alam Lohar. The legend folk singer of Pakistan was Born in District Gujrat. Alam Lohar was gifted with a melodious voice. He started signing in very early age and recorded his first album at the age of 13. He became very famous in his childhood. He was famous for his unique style of signing specially Waris Shah’s “Heer”. He used “The Chimta” as a musical instrument. Alam Lohar was the inventor of the classic folk song “Jugni”. Alam Lohar died in a road accident of 3rd of July 1979. His son “Arif Lohar” is also very famous singer. He also remixed his father’s invention “Jugni” which was also very successful in remix version.
