Thousands of people from all parts of the country participated in the peaceful Long March called by lawyers for the restoration of Justice and Rule of Law. Long March resulted in the restoration of all judges along with Chief Justice Iftekhar Chowdhury, as Prime minister of Pakistan Yusuf Raza Gillani announced during his address to the Nation today. Chief justice of Pakistan will take charge on 21st of this march.

The Beautiful Pakistan

Posted on Mar 15, 2009 under Tourism | 4 Comments

Tourism is a growing industry in Pakistan, based on its diverse cultures, peoples and landscapes. The variety of attractions range from the ruins of ancient civilizations such as Mohenjo-daro, Harappa and Taxila, to the Himalayan hill stations, which attract those interested in field and winter sports. Pakistan is home to several mountain peaks over 7000m, which attracts adventurers and mountaineers from around the world, especially K2. The northern parts of Pakistan have many old fortresses, towers and other architecture as well as the Hunza and Chitral valleys, the latter being home to the small pre-Islamic Animist Kalasha community who claim descent from the army of Alexander the Great.  The beautiful Makran Coastal Highway. The romance of the North West Frontier Province is timeless and legendary. In the Punjab is the site of Alexander’s battle on the Jhelum River and the historic city Lahore, Pakistan’s cultural capital with many examples of Mughal architecture such as the Badshahi Masjid, Shalimar Gardens, Tomb of Jahangir and the Lahore Fort.
There are many places beautiful in Pakistan still unknown to most of the world.

Geo

Geo

The Long March in Pakistan is being given special coverage by media in Pakistan. However, it is reported that Geo News TV transmission has been blocked in some cities of the country, including some parts of Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Quetta, Multan, Rawlakot, Muzaffarabad, Deepalpur and Sargodha. In some cities the cable operators have been asked to move the Geo News channel at the end of the channel list. Following is Geo TV live streaming link. Geo News transmission can be seen live from this link. http://www.geo.tv/geoip/

Aaj

Aaj

Aaj TV also reported that aaj tv transmission has also been blocked or the channel has been moved to the end of the channels list by the cable operators.

Obviously this act by the authories is showing that they are going to do anything to stop the Long March to Islamabad.

From A Man To An Ideology

Cheif Justice Of Pakistan

Cheif Justice Of Pakistan

Iftekhar Chowdhury is not just the name of a person, today Iftekhar Chowdhury is an ideology, a symbol and the name of an opportunity, an opportunity for the revival of Justice and Rule of Law in Pakistan for which we have been waiting for ages. A symbol of saying “NO” to  a dictator, he is the symbol of saying “NO” to this entire system to suck blood from veins of an ordinary man. As Chief Justice Of Pakistan he tried to fight for the rights of common people of Pakistan. He stopped the Government from selling Pakistan Steel Mills on a very cheap price, he took actions for the revival of innocent people missing people, it was he who tried to put an end on the cruel police culture in Pakistan and unlawful use of power.

Iftekhar Chowdhury got an opportunity to change the system and he grabbed it and now he is on a path that leads nowhere but to the complete revival of Justice and Rule of Law in Pakistan and once rule of law is there we will see other problems would solve one by one. Iftekhar Chowdhury said “NO” and gave us an opportunity that can bring change our country and our way of life for ever.
